Dale Forrest Ashford – April 11, 1938 – May 16, 2016. Born in St. Johnsbury, VT to Helen (Livingston) and John Ashford. Survived by his wife of almost 59 years Ann Stearns Ashford, son Donald Ashford and daughter Gayle Ekstrand and son-in-law James Ekstrand, all of Westford, grandsons John Ashford and wife Cherie of Westford and Cody Freihofer of Townsend, and great-grandchildren Brandon Ashford of Nashua, NH and Brett and Jade Ashford of Westford. Predeceased by brother Wayne Ashford.
Dale graduated from Peacham Academy in Peacham, VT in 1956 and attended Vermont Technical College in Randolph VT. He was in the National Guard for 10 years, starting in high school. After moving to Massachusetts in the early 60's, he made a career of driving truck and was a member of the Teamsters Union. After retirement, he and his wife travelled the U.S. in their RV, hitting 46 of the 48 contiguous states. In later years he and his wife became snowbirds, taking their RV to Port Richey, Florida each winter, until a few years ago when they moved back to Westford permanently.
Visitation hours will be Saturday, May 21 from 11-1 at Duckett-J.S. Waterman& Sons Home of Memorial Tribute , 656 Boston Post Road, Sudbury, MA. The Funeral service will follow the visitation at 1 PM

I am so sorry for your loss, Dale was a Great guy, Dale and Ann made me feel welcome in their home from the first time I met them. His House was a meeting place and hang out for the neighborhood which he enjoyed. Dale always worked hard to provide for his family. He would do anything he could to help anyone that needed it. Rest Well.
