Dale S. Bryant, 78 Dale Bryant, Colorado State Veterans Home at Fitzsimmons, Aurora, CO formerly of 12612 East Baker PL, Aurora, CO, died Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at the Veterans Home. Services will be Saturday, at 2:00 p.m. at the Orchard Road Christian Center at 8081 East Orchard RD, Greenwood Village, CO with Pastor Reece Bowling presiding. Dale Bryant, Colorado State Veterans Home at Fitzsimmons, Aurora, CO formerly of 12612 East Baker PL, Aurora, CO, died Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at the Veterans Home.

Services will be Saturday, at 2:00 p.m. at the Orchard Road Christian Center at 8081 East Orchard RD, Greenwood Village, CO with Pastor Reece Bowling presiding.

Dale was born on March 16, 1934 in Sheldon, Iowa, the son of Henry A. and Helen Glosser Schwarz. His father passed away shortly after Dale's birth and upon his mother's remarriage to William D. Bryant he was adopted by his stepfather. He was raised and early education was in the LaMoille and Albion rural areas of Iowa where his family was engaged in dairy farming. Dale was a graduate of Central Technical Institute of Kansas City. He later achieved the designation of Certified Financial Planner through the College for Financial Planning in Denver, CO.

Dale served in the US Navy in a bomber squadron during the Korean Conflict. He married Betty A. Wantz on April 1, 1955 in the Hartland Friends Church of rural Marshalltown, IA.

He worked for Iowa Electric Light & Power for eight years followed by eight years with the City of Cedar Rapids, IA as supervisor of Urban Renewal. He loved helping and working with people. Dale changed career paths to the insurance field, ultimately moving to Denver, CO in 1976 with Life Investors Insurance Company (now Aegon) where he served both in the regional office and sales field, specializing in Estate Planning, serving clients throughout the western states.

He had served on the board of the Fortunaires Charitable Foundation, also as president of the Association for Retarded Citizens in Linn County, IA, and was active in other charitable organizations.

Dale was a member of Orchard Road Christian Center; his dedication to his faith in God evidenced through his work with the church and service to others.

Survivors include his wife, Betty; one son, Patrick Bryant (Sharon) of Castle Rock, Co and three daughters, Peggy Rabe (Jeffrey) of Eureka, MO, Ronda Kesler (Thomas) of Broken Arrow, OK and Renee Bryant, Arvada, CO. One brother, Wayne Bryant (Jeannette) of Marion, IA.; seven grandchildren – Andrew Rabe, Adam Rabe, Alissa Rabe Krueger, Benjamin Kesler, Abigail Kesler LeBlanc, Josiah Kesler, and Samuel Kesler; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Wm. (Billie) Gene Bryant and Carl Eamel Schwarz.

Memorials may be directed to Oral Roberts University Whole Person Scholarship or Saving Moses, ministry to needy children throughout the world.
