Dale Barrett "Barry" Burget passed away Friday, July 4, 2014 at UPMC Cranberry Place while under the compassionate care of Hospice after a courageous battle with Parkinson's disease. Barry was born January 7, 1943 in Rochester, son of the late Clyde and Lois (Barrett) Burget. He was a graduate of Rochester High School, Class of 1960. Barry proudly served his country with the U.S. Navy and was stationed in Key West, Fl. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed archery and guns. Dale Barrett "Barry" Burget passed away Friday, July 4, 2014 at UPMC Cranberry Place while under the compassionate care of Hospice after a courageous battle with Parkinson's disease.
Barry was born January 7, 1943 in Rochester, son of the late Clyde and Lois (Barrett) Burget. He was a graduate of Rochester High School, Class of 1960. Barry proudly served his country with the U.S. Navy and was stationed in Key West, Fl.
He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed archery and guns. He was a life member of the Beaver Valley Rifle and Pistol Club. Following his retirement from U.S. Food Service in 2005, Barry enjoyed visiting with his coffee buddies at the East Rochester Hot Dog Shoppe.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother: Walter "Stump" Miles.
Barry is survived by his loving daughters: Erin Pityk and her husband Tony, Cranberry Township; and Rebecca Burget Snyder, Rochester; his beloved grandchildren: Ryan and Justin Pityk; and Rowan Snyder; also a life-long friend: Emmett Devore.
Friends will be received Tuesday, July 8, 2014 from 3 to 7 p.m. in the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester (GPS 848 Sunflower Road, adjacent to Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum). A brief service will immediately follow the visitation at 7 p.m. Private interment will be in Sylvania Hills Memorial Pak. Online condolences may be offered at www.saul-gabauer.com
