The singular Dallas Hill left this earth peacefully at home on June 17, 2017. Darlin' Dallas was an icon on the Houston modeling scene from the 60's into the new millennium, working runway, as well as print and TV. She left an impression on many young women whom she taught charm school and modeling. Dallas used her status as a local celebrity to help countless charities, including the Cancer Assistance League and Catholic Charities. Later in life, she renewed her passion for visual art through her paintings, with showings on display in Texas, New York and Japan. Dallas relished her role as mother to her five children and took pride in her six grandchildren.
Dallas is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Hill, and her son, Christian Hill. She is survived by children: Marc Hill (Jeffrey), Filomena Martin (Lee), Thaddaus Hill, and Gifford Hill; grandchildren: Ross, Libby, Jordan, and Christian Hill and Mary Alice and Russell Martin; sister: Sissy Park (Jim) of Beaumont.
A Rosary will be led by Archbishop Emeritus Joseph Fiorenza, Dallas' high school classmate, at Earthman Bellaire Funeral Home, at 7 o'clock p.m. on Friday June 30, 2017. Visitation prior to the Rosary beginning at 6 o'clock p.m.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 o'clock a.m., Saturday, July 1, 2017 at St. Michael Catholic Church, 410 N. Center Street, Weimar, Texas.
In lieu of flowers please send donations to Hospice Brazos Valley, 302 E Blue Bell Rd, Brenham, TX 77833 or Catholic Charities, 2900 Louisiana St., Houston, TX 77006

Who could forget the inimitable Dallas?! She was uniquely charming, kind and thoughtful. I will never forget the shower gift she brought to a young bride-to-be to start her new life.......paper plates and caviar! It was just so... so.......Dallas!! Who else would have thought of it?! So funny and so insightful as to what life really is! May she rest in peace.

Dearest Sissy, Marc, Filomena, Thaddaus, and Gifford: Mary Jo-Baby-Dallas had many fans, but one of her first was my daddy, Earl Brickhouse. He absolutely adored her and would do anything for her. He produced an art show for her at the Art Museum of Southeast Texas in Beaumont a few years ago, and he may have loved it more than she did. Dallas was charm personified. I felt the same way about Dallas as Daddy Earl. I was lucky that I got to visit with her last fall. She shared memories and stories of growing up with Earl in Beaumont and how much fun they had. I know they're up there telling dirty jokes and creating new memories for eternity. With love and deep condolences, Jamie Brickhouse

The void created by the loss of my dear, dear friend Dallas Hill can never be filled. We were close neighbors for many years and close buddies forever. She was a unique and blithe spirit whose light shone so brightly that the world is darker without it. All the glowing words lauding her professional talents can never equal the personal goodness and caring hand she extended to all those in need of help.
Toward the end when she was in a nursing facility, I took her a camouflage cap to cover her uncombed hair. She snatched it away and plopped it on her head immediately. As she peered out from beneath the brim of it with those beautiful eyes and an impish grin on her face, she looked like she belonged on the cover of Field and Stream magazine.......
glamour addition. Forever the ham, forever the model, forever Darlin' Dallas! Oh my. How she will be missed.
Love always, Alta White
