Dana Osuna Rodriguez was born in Portland, Maine on Tuesday, June 8, 1926, to parents, Frank J. Rodriguez and Marcia (Turner) Rodriguez. He passed away in Houston, Texas on Friday, February 7, 2014, at the age of 87. Dana proudly served his country in the United States Army, the United States Navy, the United States Coast Guard and the Merchant Marines. He was an active member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #8790 Honor Guard and served in several other capacities. Dana Osuna Rodriguez was born in Portland, Maine on Tuesday, June 8, 1926, to parents, Frank J. Rodriguez and Marcia (Turner) Rodriguez. He passed away in Houston, Texas on Friday, February 7, 2014, at the age of 87.

Dana proudly served his country in the United States Army, the United States Navy, the United States Coast Guard and the Merchant Marines. He was an active member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #8790 Honor Guard and served in several other capacities. He was also an active member of the American Legion Post #654, again serving in many capacities.

Dana was preceded in death by his loving wife, Charlotte M. "Char" Rodriguez on Monday, June 13, 2005. He is survived by a son, Rickey Dear and his wife Crystal, grandchildren, Michele James, Jason Dear; great grandson, Christopher Hanstine; other relatives and many dear friends.

Family and friends gathered at a visitation on Tuesday, February 11th from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Waltrip Funeral Directors, 1415 Campbell Road in Houston.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, February 12th at 10:00 a.m. in the Houston National Cemetery Chapel, under the auspices of Mr. Lyndon Howell and military honors by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #8790 Honor Guard.

Immediately following the services, all were invited to a reception at the American Legion Post #654, 3105 Campbell Road in Houston, 77080, (713) 462-5290.
