Soli Deo Gloria
Daniel Mark Sherin was born to Kevin Mark and Gail Louise Sherin on November 17th, 1992, in Winter Haven, Florida. He grew up with two loving sisters: Grace Louise Sherin and Jennifer Liying Sherin. He was a happy, playful boy, who enjoyed video games, Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Karate, and collecting Yugioh and Pokemon cards. His favorite Pokemon character was Pikachu. He also enjoyed skateboarding and playing basketball with his friends.
He was baptized on the feast of St. Mark, his paternal grandparent’s wedding anniversary, April 25th, 1993, at Abiding Savior Lutheran Church, Winter Haven, Florida. He was confirmed on Reformation Sunday, 2006, at Salem Lutheran Church, Orlando, Florida.
He was an honors student at Manning Elementary School, Westmont, Illinois, and Conway Middle School, in Orlando, Florida. He attended Boone High School in Orlando, Florida, and graduated with a high school diploma. He attended Valencia College and studied Computer Programming. He composed music and loved playing the guitar. He also played the piano and clarinet. He was an animal lover, especially fond of Golden Retrievers.
He had a warm, friendly, affectionate, full of life personality, who loved to make people laugh. Sadly he suffered from a seizure disorder.
He died on May 14th, 2017, at the age of 24, and received the crown of life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Dr. Sherin,
I can not imagine the pain that your family is going through. I do not believe that parents are meant to have to bury their children. There can not be a bigger loss. But through all of this we have an even bigger God, a God who sees beyond our ability to see and knows beyond our ability to know. God has promised that one day we will be with Him and then we will "Know Him even as we have been known" You will know the mind of God, Daniel is there and already knows and understands. May God give you comfort as only He can.
