We celebrated your birthday,
as if you were still alive.
We bought balloons for you dad,
to be exact, there were five.
One from Mom who misses you,
and cries still every day.
One from your special Grandson,
who loved his Papa in every way.
One from your oldest daughter,
the first to call you dad.
And one from little Peanut,
whose face still looks so sad.
The last balloon was from me dad,'
the second born to you,
and with a birthday wish, we released them up for you.
As we watched them all float up,
so high up in the sky,
balloons were sent to Heaven Dad,
with a tear in every eye.
You weren't here to blow out candles,
or celebrate with cake,
you weren't here for us to sing to,
you weren't here for a wish to make.
But we all felt you with us, watching from above,
as we celebrated your birthday and we celebrated your love.
Balloons were sent to Heaven,
to be exact there were five.
We celebrated your birthday Dad,
wishing you were still alive.
We sent our hearts and love to you, released them up your way,
to a Husband, a Father, a Papa,
still missed every day.
So Happy Birthday to you Dad,
as you watch from up above.
From all of us who miss you, but feel comfort in your love.
And don't forget to make a wish,
it's certain to come true,
as our wishes were granted,
because we all had you.
Happy Birthday Dad !!!

Papa,
I found a penny today
Just laying on the ground,
But it's not just a penny
This little coin I've found.
Found pennies come from heaven
That's what my Grandpa told me,
He said Angels toss them down
Oh, how I loved that story.
He said when an Angel misses you
They toss a penny down,
Sometimes just to cheer you up
To make a smile out of your frown
So don't pass by that penny
When you're feeling blue,
It may be a penny from heaven
That an Angel's tossed to you

A Prayer For My Dad

I cant believe I'm standing here,
Saying my goodbyes
To a Dad that meant the world to me,
My Dad with big brown eyes
Anyone who loved him
Will know how I feel today,
My Dad was the sunshine of my life
Who could light up the darkest days.
So goodbye Dad my only Dad,
Take your wings and fly
To eternal happiness and your reward,
through the big gates in the sky.

Lorraine, Danielle, Nicki and Tristan, my thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this difficult time. I will always remember the fun we had with my Mother and Fox ( your father) every Tuesday for Avon Day. It was always a pleasure to visit with him and the rest of the family. He was a brave man to go through this at home but with such a great support group I'm sure he found it easier. Lorraine I'm sure he was so thankful for all you did. Remember the good times and all the laughs and smiles he shared with all of you. May he RIP. I will miss him greatly. Love to all of you.

Dad,
We little knew that morning
That God would call your name.
In life we loved you dearly;
In death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
But you did not go alone,
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.
You left us beautiful memories,
Your love is still our guide,
And though we cannot see you,
You are always by our side.
Our family chain is broken
And nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one,
The chain will link again.
We love and miss you and though our hearts are broken we know that you are finally at peace.
