I first met Pastor Blanco in 1980 when my family moved down to the Valley and he became our pastor. Over the years our families grew close and he even worked the labor fields of the Valley with my parents. We shared time together, our families shared meals together, he officiated at my wedding and he delivered the eulogy at my mother's memorial service. He was as fine a man of God as I have ever met. Several persons have made an impact on me over the years as a Christian, but none more than Pastor Blanco. With all that however, I was most proud to say that Daniel was my friend. I will miss him for now but I know I will see him again in Heaven.
