Dan Deal was born May 28, 1967 in Des Moines, IA to Max and Eva Deal and died suddenly on January 28, 2010 at Lutheran Hospital. A Memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Thursday at McLaren's Chapel with private interment at Resthaven Mausoleum.
Dan was confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church in Des Moines where he was a member. He grew up in West Des Moines, graduated from Valley High School where he was student body president. He excelled in soccer and academics. Dan graduated with honors from Amherst College and with his MBA from Tulane University. He worked at Wells Fargo Mortgage in Des Moines as a mortgage document processor.
Dan was an avid reader, a state champion power lifter, loved jazz music, cooking for his family and friends, and spending time with his two nephews.
Dan leaves to mourn his parents; four brothers, James of Des Moines, John (Karen) of New Orleans, Damon of West Des Moines and Morgan (Tiffany) of Clive; two nephews, Max and George, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the American Heart Association. Dan was an organ donor.
