Daniel M. Hahn, age 94, of Hayward, WI, passed away on Friday, December 14, 2012 at the Golden Living-Valley of Hayward Care Center. Daniel Maximillian Hahn was born October 12, 1918 in Wild Rose, WI the son of John and Kathryn (Guenther) Hahn. He graduated from high school in Wautoma, WI and then attended University of Wisconsin in Madison for two and a half years in the school of Pharmacy. He joined the U.S. Army Airforce in 1941 and served in the China, Burma, and India Theater during World War II. Daniel M. Hahn, age 94, of Hayward, WI, passed away on Friday, December 14, 2012 at the Golden Living-Valley of Hayward Care Center.

Daniel Maximillian Hahn was born October 12, 1918 in Wild Rose, WI the son of John and Kathryn (Guenther) Hahn. He graduated from high school in Wautoma, WI and then attended University of Wisconsin in Madison for two and a half years in the school of Pharmacy. He joined the U.S. Army Airforce in 1941 and served in the China, Burma, and India Theater during World War II. Daniel was honorably discharged in 1945 and returned to Wautoma where he met and married Mary D. Eaton on January 17, 1946. Daniel started work in Madison, WI at Nevin State Fish Hatchery and was employed there until 1951. He was transferred to Hayward Fish Hatchery and was promoted to Supervisor in charge. In 1962, Daniel was transferred to Bayfield Fish Hatchery as Supervisor in charge where he remained employed until his retirement in 1982. After his retirement, Daniel and Mary moved to Hayward, WI to be closer to family. Daniel enjoyed all sports, playing cards and visiting with family and friends.

Daniel is survived by his wife of 67 years, Mary; children, Donna (Daniel) McFaul of Hayward, WI, David Hahn of Eden Prairie, MN; many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Herbert and Alfred Hahn.

In accordance with Daniel's wishes, no public services are planned. Interment with be in the Veterans Section of the Greenwood Cemetery, Hayward, WI.
