Thanks to all of Dan's friends in Colorado who shared with us, his sisters, the love and memories they had of him. We loved him so and it's hard to let him go, but your thoughtfulness and shared memories has helped us through this difficult time.

I have many memories of Dan. Camping, motorcycles and meeting up with him in Sturgis. My favorite though is when I would see him at daily mass. If I got there first he would sit with me or vice versa. One day another elderly parishioner asked Dan if I was his daughter. We laughed and told her just friends. After that he would always say "hi daughter". Dan will be missed by his family and many friends and his "daughter". Rest in peace my friend.

Gary, We will always have the fondest of memories for your father. I had the privilege of working with him at the Dept of Highways and in his shop. He taught me many skills. On our single trip to Sturgis, I was driving his truck and clearly going to fast for an upcoming mountain corner. Once we slide around the curve your father calmly said "Well we know how fast we can go around that corner". He was so very kind as I deserved a much stronger comment. Just one of the many things I will always remember about him. In honor of him and to show our respect for him we named our son Daniel. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Blair and Jane Shouse
