Obituary

Daniel D. Primm, Sr., 86, of 20 Turnbull Drive, passed away Monday, Nov. 23, at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Primm was born in Floyd Co., on July 4, 1923, the son of the late Joseph Parks Primm and Velma Maxwell Primm. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Venita Boalch Primm, on Sept. 13, 2008, by a sister, Claire Primm Camp, and by three brothers, Ralph, James and Kerner Primm. Mr. Primm and his brother, Billy, served together during World War II in the U. S. Army in the European Theatre. He worked in his early years at the Forrest Men's Clothing Shop and then in the vending business. ...
Daniel D. Primm, Sr., 86, of 20 Turnbull Drive, passed away Monday, Nov. 23, at his residence following an extended illness.

Mr. Primm was born in Floyd Co., on July 4, 1923, the son of the late Joseph Parks Primm and Velma Maxwell Primm. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Venita Boalch Primm, on Sept. 13, 2008, by a sister, Claire Primm Camp, and by three brothers, Ralph,
James and Kerner Primm.

Mr. Primm and his brother, Billy, served together during World War II in the U. S. Army in the European Theatre. He worked in his early years at the Forrest Men's Clothing Shop and then in the vending business. He was also associated with Arby's for a number of years and then with Scant's Corner Beverage Shop. He was former president of the Rome Exchange Club and was a member of the Northwest Georgia Football Officials Association. He loved to play golf and was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Leah Primm Paris, and her husband, Mark, Rome; one son, Dr. Daniel D. Primm, Jr., and his wife, Michelle, Lexington, KY; three grandchildren, Maffett, Bentley and Mason Primm, all of Lexington; and one brother, Billy Primm, and his wife, Jackie, Rome.

A memorial service will be held Friday, Dec. 4, at 11 a.m. at the Thomas B. Griffin Memorial Chapel of Daniel's Funeral Home with Dr. Floyd Roebuck officiating.

The family will greet friends following the memorial service at Daniel's.
