ARLINGTON -- Darla C. Benline, 58, went home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, July 21, 2012.
Celebration of life: 10 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church of Arlington. Interment will immediately follow in Parkdale Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Moore Funeral Home on Bowen Rd.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mission Arlington or Christian Women's Job Corps of Greater Arlington.
Darla was born in Longview on June 19, 1954. She spent most of her childhood in Phoenix, Ariz., before returning to Texas. She loved the Lord, her family and friends and was always willing to help others. She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Arlington for the last 40 years. She touched many people's lives and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Nelda Cochran.
Survivors: Sister, Charm Boddy and husband, Scott Boddy; niece, Christen Proctor; nephews, Landon Sugg, Andrew Sugg and wife, Amber Sugg; great-nephews, Bryan and Luke Proctor; and great-niece, Skylar Sugg.

I knew Darla from seeing and talking with her at work at DRHorton. Every morning I would see her smiling at me as I passed by. We would talk about her Irish hertiage and she would use her Irish accent.Such good times.I will miss Darla's joyful spirit! She is an Angel with God. My condolences and prayers are with your family.
