1984 New Orleans World's Fair, 3 times Martha Ann Crumley wore out the batteries. Poor David Crumley, tuckered out, had to push her electric cart each time back to rental place to pick up fresh battery. You Go Girl!

MESSAGE 1 from Henry Kubicki
I am “Henry Kubicki”, David Crumley was my dearest friend of 36 years and was husband of 13 years (1978 - 1991). David was not my companion, not my roommate not my life-mate, but he was my husband and I was his husband.
My parents, CMD. Edward Kubicki and Margaret Kubicki, loved David O. Crumley unconditionally, he was in fact was their son-in-law and was treated with love and respect he deserved.

Due to irreconcilable differences in 1991 we separated amicably. We still loved and respected each other, and frequently communicated with each other, though it was not possible to remain together.

MESSAGE EIGHT FROM Henry KUBICKI
David Oliver Crumley had a lot entrepreneurial spirit, for every wonderful new idea David Crumley had for a business or product, somewhere in the world there were at least 10 other people who had the same idea at the same time, but he always lost. He dreamed of frozen Quiche before it was ever marketed. He tried to market “Frozen” Antoine's Restaurant Puff Potatoes. Depurated Oysters (a method cleansing or purifying oysters without destroying its integrity or flavor so that it could be marked year around even during the months with no “Rs”), flash freezing of local fish and crabs without the destructive crystal buildup. In the advent of personal computer with DOS and MSDOS in the middle 1980s he began working on methods and techniques of archiving of all Library books, works of Arts, documents and newspaper and photographs in 1 dimensional and 3 dimensional B/W or Color digitizing.

David Crumley was loyal and loving to his friends. David Crumley and I made a Cinderella hoop skirt and laboriously built a Victorian doll House for (David's friend since childhood) Lisa D. Cairns' daughter Katrina, Christmas of 1982.

MESSAGE TWO FROM HENRY KUBICKI
David Oliver Crumley was New Orleans' Deputy Assessor for Assessor Jimmy Smith of Algiers on the Westbank of Orleans Parish. Five after the Upstairs Lounge fire, in 1978 David and I dated and decided to live as though we were married. He had attended Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana. He had attended Tulane University, New Orleans. He studied Architectural History under notable architectural historian, educator, civic activist and preservationist, Samuel Wilson Jr., who was often referred to as “Dean of Historic Presevation”. David O. Crumley had a brass Historic Plaque posted for Ashland-Belle Plantation on River Road. He fiercely loved the antiquities of architectures of Louisiana.

I remember David as highly intelligent and a good friend who was instrumental in having a plaque placed at the Algiers home once rented by William Bourroughs and Jack Kerouak. With deepest sympathy, Bob and Elvira Ussery

While I hadn't seen David in many many years, perhaps since my College days, I remember him as a good person with lots of love in his heart. I am sure he has been carried to Heaven by Angels. May he rest in peace.
