David Barnett Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 5, 2018.

David Richard Barnett, 75, of Arlington, passed away on January 3, 2018 surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on July 10, 1942 in Pointe A La Hache, Louisiana to Albert Lee and Jerri Barnett. He and his family moved to Texas when he was a small boy. Here he met and married his beloved Goose, DaNell. Together they had two loving daughters and three grandchildren. He had a long and successful career with Bell Helicopter that spanned several decades.

He was an avid fisherman and a proud member of Texas Baitcasters. He looked forward to his monthly tournaments with all of his fishing buddies. One of his favorite yearly traditions was fishing Cedar Creek lake with his best friends for sand bass that he would personally fry up and serve to his family and friends at his infamous fish frys.Dave was a great sports fan. He loved his Texas Rangers and spending time with his girls at their spring training in Arizona. He was such a football fan that during football season you would find him enjoying one, two, three, maybe four games at once. Dave was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.

He is survived by his wife DaNell Barnett, daughters Davina Barnett and Nikki Hale, son in law Jason Hale, granddaughters Ashleigh Barnett and Jessica Hale, grandson Danal Hale, and sisters Judy Brown and Jerri Lindblad.
