David Dwight Anderson, 53, passed away peacefully at home in Houston, Texas on April 21, 2010, with his loving wife Diane at his bedside.

David was born and grew up in Camillus, New York. He moved to Houston, Texas over thirty years ago where he resided until his passing.

David had a passion for beautiful wood, which led to a long career in the wood flooring industry. Additionally, he had a passion for nature and wade fishing. He was a member of the National Wood Flooring Association, a Certified Flooring Inspector, and a member of Coastal Conservation Association, Texas.

He is described by his numerous family members and friends as a gentle soul, who had the gift of seeing the best in people and bringing that out. He was loyal, kind, trusting, honorable and humorous with a gift for laughter.

David was preceded in death by his father, Joel and first wife Edie. He is survived by his wife Diane Blais Anderson, his mother, Florence Fien, brother James Anderson, sister Marylyn Potega and husband John, and nephew John; extended family Bud Bradford, Burke Bradford and wife, Tricia and grandsons Brooks and Reese, Barbara Major and husband Richard Nadon, Lyn Helfrich and husband Buster, as well as a network of dear friends and co-workers. He loved us all deeply and we honor his memory.

After the service, there will be a party at Barbara and Dick's, in celebration of David's life. Please join the festivities at 9014 Autauga St., Houston, Texas 77080.

"I grew up with David on Parsons Road in Camillus, NY. I have many fond memories of David - from running around East Hill playground to running around..." Dan Casler (Syracuse, NY)
