Mr. David Albert Andrews lost his long courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis. He passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 5th, at Woodland Nursing Home in Midway, GA. He was born April 1, 1947, in Savannah, Ga. He is preceded in death by his father, Wilton Glen Andrews; brother, Arthur Franklin Andrews; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Anderson Andrews; and her daughter, Alissa Luke. Survivors include his mother, Mary Francis Hodges Andrews; sister, Bonnie Jobe; brother, Wilton Glenn (Scooter) Andrews, Jr.; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Ford Andrews; only child daughter, Melissa Lynn Andrews; granddaughter, Laila Shae Dossey; nephew, Shawn...
Mr. David Albert Andrews lost his long courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis. He passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 5th, at Woodland Nursing Home in Midway, GA. He was born April 1, 1947, in Savannah, Ga.

He is preceded in death by his father, Wilton Glen Andrews; brother, Arthur Franklin Andrews; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Anderson Andrews; and her daughter, Alissa Luke.

Survivors include his mother, Mary Francis Hodges Andrews; sister, Bonnie Jobe; brother, Wilton Glenn (Scooter) Andrews, Jr.; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Ford Andrews; only child daughter, Melissa Lynn Andrews; granddaughter, Laila Shae Dossey; nephew, Shawn (Katherine); great niece, Arabella; niece, Maggie Jobe; great nephew, Isaiah; brother and sister-in-law, Ed and Dee Powell, Johnny and best friend Linda NeSmith; many cousins including Patricia Drescher.

David was a member of the U.S. Navy Reserves as a young man.Mr. Andrews had a very successful career in the Life Insurance Business having earned many achievement awards. The most distinguished being the Top Hat Award given by Life of GA in 1979.

David was a popular happy person. His many friends spent time with him playing golf, Gin Rummy, all kinds of sports. His favorite was football; he was one of a kind! He will be greatly missed. Rest in Peace.

Memorial Visitation will be held at Fairhaven Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel on Sunday, March 10, 2013 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm.

Memorial Service will be held privately.
