Funeral services for David G. Armstrong, age 51 of Lisbon will be held privately with his family at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home. Mr. Armstrong passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday (Nov 9, 2013) after a courageous battle with cancer. Surviving is his mother Sylvia Armstrong of Lisbon; two sons Jason Madill & his wife Angela and Logan Armstrong both of Heuvelton; a daughter Katie Armstrong of Gouverneur; a brother Thomas Armstrong & his wife Kelly of Lisbon; two sisters Amy Armstrong & her companion Paul Davis of Liverpool and Staci Armstrong of Madrid; grandchildren Savannah, Jase, Charlie...
Funeral services for David G. Armstrong, age 51 of Lisbon will be held privately with his family at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home. Mr. Armstrong passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday (Nov 9, 2013) after a courageous battle with cancer.

Surviving is his mother Sylvia Armstrong of Lisbon; two sons Jason Madill & his wife Angela and Logan Armstrong both of Heuvelton; a daughter Katie Armstrong of Gouverneur; a brother Thomas Armstrong & his wife Kelly of Lisbon; two sisters Amy Armstrong & her companion Paul Davis of Liverpool and Staci Armstrong of Madrid; grandchildren Savannah, Jase, Charlie & Brayden along with many nieces, nephews & cousins. He was predeceased by his father Everett in 2006.

David was born on October 15, 1962 in Canton, NY the son of Everett & Sylvia (Lawrence) Armstrong. He received his education from Lisbon Central High School and married Joni Madill on October 10, 1987 which later ended, but the couple remained good friends over the years.

During his career, he assisted on the family farm for many years in addition to construction work and working on area farms. He also was employed with Agway, Schwans and Waste Stream Management. He was a member of the FFA for many years and enjoyed dart baseball, playing cards, racing stock cars, telling jokes, going for car rides and watching Monday night football.
