À Montréal, le 18 avril 2013, est décédé David Bélanger, professeur émérite de l'Université de Montréal, ancien directeur du Département de psychologie et doyen de la Faculté de philosophie.

Marié en premières noces à feu Béatrice Hudon, il laisse dans le deuil son épouse Michelle Morin, ses enfants Hélène (feu André Grou), Sylvie (Charles Carrier), France (Randall Segovia) et Claude (Isabelle Carré); ses petits-enfants Michael, Jonathan, Marc-André (Misoo Chung), Ariane (Yannick Vinette), Neil, Joëlle et cinq arrière-petits-enfants. Il laisse également derrière lui sa belle-soeur Yvonne Dumoulin, ses cousins et cousines des familles Bélanger et Chouinard, de nombreux neveux et nièces, ainsi que plusieurs amis et collègues avec qui il a partagé son profond engagement pour la recherche et l'enseignement dans le domaine de la psychologie.

Died in Montréal April 18, 2013, Professor Emeritus, past Director of Psychology Department and Dean of Philosophy of the Université de Montréal.

Husband by first marriage to late Béatrice Hudon, mourned by his spouse Michelle Morin, his children, Hélène, Sylvie, France and Claude, his grandchildren, Michael, Jonathan, Marc-André, Ariane, Neil, Joelle and five great grandchildren. He also leaves behind his sister-in-law Yvonne Dumoulin, his cousins of the Belanger and Chouinard family, many nephews and nieces as well as friends and colleagues with whom he shared his enthousiasm for teaching and research in the field of psychology.
