David Haydon Davenport passed away at the age of 69 on January 14.
Born in Key West, FL in 1946, he became an accountant and worked for the government at the State level. He was also an active member of the Freemasons and Shriners.
Preceding him in death is his father; Floyd Wilson Davenport. Survivors include his mother, Mildred P. Haydon; son Joseph B. Davenport; and sister Linda Hirschman.
A memorial service will be held at Nelsen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd, Williamsburg on Tuesday, January 19 at 11:00 AM. A gathering of friends will follow the service.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Shriners Children Hospital at www.Shrinershospitalforchildren.org.

Dave was a kind and gentle man. I remember running into him at a grocery store and sharing some jam memories with him, and talking about his Mother. We will miss him.
