Obituary

David Paul Michael DeMarea, age 65, of Bentonville, died unexpectedly on October 2, 2011. He was born in Kansas City , Missouri , on April 2, 1946. Dave came to Bentonville with his wife, Debbie in the spring of 1982, to work for the Arvest Bank Group, and has been with Arvest since then. Dave worked in the banking industry for over 35 years, and truly has enjoyed his work. He was a board member for several banking institutions and was known as a "forward thinker" within the industry. David Paul Michael DeMarea, age 65, of Bentonville, died unexpectedly on October 2, 2011. He was born in Kansas City , Missouri , on April 2, 1946.

Dave came to Bentonville with his wife, Debbie in the spring of 1982, to work for the Arvest Bank Group, and has been with Arvest since then. Dave worked in the banking industry for over 35 years, and truly has enjoyed his work. He was a board member for several banking institutions and was known as a "forward thinker" within the industry.

Together Dave, Debbie and the girls made a life in Bentonville where, over the years, Dave was a part of many community boards and service groups, including: Bentonville's first school Mileage campaign and the Bentonville Girls' Softball League.

Dave grew up in Kansas City , Missouri . He was a boy scout, attended St. Francis Grade School and Hogan High School in Kansas City , and was an altar boy at St. Francis Catholic Church. He was drafted into the Army during Vietnam and spent time during his service in Germany .

Dave enjoyed golfing, reading, taking care of his yard and pool, and spending time with his family and friends. He was a devoted husband, father, grandpa, and friend who always put his family first and made the best of any situation.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Debra Jean DeMarea; daughters, Nicole DeMarea, Alexandra DeMarea; granddaughters, Marley Nicole DeMarea-Hufford and Maddex Marie DeMarea-Hufford, all of Bentonville. He is also survived by his mother, Helen DeMarea of Raytown, Missouri; sisters, Michelle DeMarea, Kathy Rembs and husband John all of Kansas City, Missouri; brother, Frank DeMarea and wife Tammy of Overland Park, Kansas; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

David was preceded in death by his father, Frank August DeMarea in January, 2011.

Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 5, 2011, at Callison-Lough Funeral Home, Bentonville. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Rogers .

Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be made in David's memory to the – Northwest Arkansas , 1732 Moberly, Suite B, Bentonville, 72712.
