My heartfelt sympathies to the family. Proverbs 17:17 tells us that "A true companion is loving all the time and...is born for when there is distress." In times of such sorrow, the love and support of friends can help carry you through. May their comfort help sustain you during this difficult time.

Sgt. Mark Willhite
My name is Mark Willhite and I worked with David at the Fort Smith Police Department. David and I were very good friends at that time and I considered David as one of my best friends. He was a great guy, very smart and a good friend. I was so sorry to hear of his loss and I will miss him greatly.
I remember when we were at the Fort Chaffee Cuban riots, we could not get our armored truck to start. I noticed David was over to the side with a big smile on his face. I asked him what was so funny, he stated that our armored truck had a switch on it that would keep it from being started. He stated that he had turned it on so they could not leave us out in the middle of no where. We both thought it was was kind of funny. He always liked to have fun and he was a great guy. If any of the family would like to hear some more war stories, please contact me. Donald has my phone number.
I just wanted to say a few words about a special man and friend, Rest in Peace my Brother and God Bless you and your loving Family.

I remember David as one of my students at Westark Commuunity College. He had witty and unforgetable personality. He seemed to love life and his job with FSPD. My prayer is that his family will always remember the good times and the good things God brought into this world through David.
