On Tues. Oct 16, 2012 in Port Alberni, Dave Evans was called to his good buddy Glenn Stewart's birthday party in heaven. He drifted off peacefully with family and friends at his side. He will be sadly missed, and forever loved by his wife Anne, sons: Darren (Dana) and Mike (Kirsten); foster son Ken Tassie; and grandsons: Drake, Riley, Kobe and Brody; also his sister Lynne (Ron) Lowe and family and his father-in-law, Jim Rutherford Sr. He was predeceased by his parents Tom and Marie Evans and nephew Donny. Dave enjoyed life to the fullest - hunting, fishing, and playing ball. He was a mentor to many young men as their coach in ball and soccer. He made friends wherever he went, and those friendships would last his lifetime. He was very proud of his family, and his grandsons were the highlight of his life.
A celebration of his life will take place Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Memories Funeral Home, 4005- 6th Ave. Followed by a reception at the Italian Hall from 2:00 – 8:00PM.
