RETIRED U. S. FISH AND WILDLIFE AGENT David Louis Hall died July 14, 2014. Agent Hall was born January 8, 1938 in Memphis Tennessee, to the late Fred David and Rozelle Sawyer Hall. Hall had one sibling, the late Mary Lou Hall O'Connor. His family moved to Jackson Mississippi in 1945 where he met his wife of fifty-two years, Sarah Warnack Hall. David became an avid sportsman, while hunting and fishing with his father as a young boy. He received a B.S. degree in forestry and a M.S. degree in Zoology/Wildlife from Mississippi State University. RETIRED U. S. FISH AND WILDLIFE AGENT David Louis Hall died July 14, 2014. Agent Hall was born January 8, 1938 in Memphis Tennessee, to the late Fred David and Rozelle Sawyer Hall. Hall had one sibling, the late Mary Lou Hall O'Connor. His family moved to Jackson Mississippi in 1945 where he met his wife of fifty-two years, Sarah Warnack Hall.

David became an avid sportsman, while hunting and fishing with his father as a young boy. He received a B.S. degree in forestry and a M.S. degree in Zoology/Wildlife from Mississippi State University. The Unity College in Maine awarded David its highest recognition, a Doctorate Degree of Environmental Science. During Hall's thirty-five year career with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, he was responsible for supervising Federal Law Enforcement programs in seven states. He conducted undercover investigations from Alaska to the East Coast, and his writings and photographs won awards and were featured in outdoor recreational publications. Hall was instrumental in organizing "Poachers to Preachers", an innovative program that converts game law violators into game law educators. Hall also taught at universities, presented seminars to wildlife organizations, conducted hunter behavior research, and produced video programs. Hall also served in the U.S. Air National Guard.

Hall is survived by his wife Sarah Ann Hall; son F. David Hall, wife Vicki Hall, of Slidell, La; daughter Pam Kirkbride of Raleigh, NC; grandchildren Hunter and Hannah Hall and Zack and Austin Kirkbride; niece Kelly O'Connor and nephews Billy and Ben O'Connor.

Services for David Louis Hall will be held at Aldersgate United Methodist Church on 360 Robert Road in Slidell La., Saturday, August 2, 2014 at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Aldersgate United Methodist Church or the Alzheimer's Foundation of America.
