To Ellen and family, I am so sorry for the loss of David. I will always remember him smiling and laughing and showing me all his new acquisitions in the shop. He will be truly missed.

To Ellen and the entire family,
Please accept my deepest condolences in the passing of David. I wish I could have been over to the shop recently, as it was always a pleasure to see what he would find next. Whenever I would come to the shop, he would come out of the office and call me "Little John" and every time he would say "I know you're not little anymore" but he always continued to call me Little John. David will certainly be missed at local auctions, he was always full of stories. Wishing you all the best in this difficult time.

I count it a RICH privilege to have known Mr. Mabey for most of the past 20 years. His store in Oxford was much fun - so much buried treasure there! You could not take in the whole store in one visit. He had more joy selling me a calendar from my birth year as I had in buying it! I last saw him at a garage sale we had in Norwich - like most antique dealers he came early, was respectful, very friendly, and would accurately comment on the last time we met years earlier. I will miss his honesty, his heart, his rich friendship, his fellowship in our Savior.
