On Wednesday, November 29, 2017, David Arnold Untiedt, 64, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at Genesis East. Dave was born on June 12, 1953 in Davenport, Iowa to Lawrence and Dorothy Untiedt. He graduated from Central High School in 1971 and went on to get a degree in architecture from Clinton Community College. Dave worked at Eagle Foods where he met and fell in love with Paula Stelk. Dave and Paula were married on December 20, 1976 and had four daughters: Anna, Alissa, Atessa and Amanda.He worked as a produce manager at Geifman Foods, various second jobs to provide for his family and retired from Davenport Community Schools after 27 ½ years as a custodian at Central High School. Dave enjoyed fishing, movies, music, poker nights and game days with his wife. He loved his Minnesota Vikings. Dave was a devoted father who would get up every morning to see his daughters off to school. He was a hard-working and loyal husband and father. His Grandsons loved their Pap-O.Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters: Anna Maloy (Scott Slagle), Delran, NJ, Alissa Mason (Scott Sones), Davenport, IA, Atessa (Joe) Mesmer, Davenport, IA, and Amanda (John) Feeney, Hamilton, IL; grandsons; Joseph Schulz, Ethan Mason and Colin Feeney; siblings; Chris (Lynda) Untiedt, Joella (Joe) O'Connell, Steve (Luann)Untiedt, Jim Untiedt, Deb (Steve) Friedrich, Ken Untiedt, and many loved nieces and nephews.Dave was preceded in death by his loving wife of 35 years Paula Untiedt, his parents and a sister in law, Kelly Untiedt. A celebration of Dave's life will be held on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. at the Runge Mortuary. Memorials may be made to the family. Online tributes may be left at www.therungemortuary.com. May Dave finally be at peace.

What a wonderful boy he was as a child, only to go on and become a better man.
It is our loss.
We were very proud of David and would have liked to have had more time with him.
