Davina Blake Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 15, 2016.

Davina Evette Blake, aged 44, died peacefully on October 13, 2016 at home, after struggling with cancer. Davina was born March 7, 1972 in Renton, Washington, the daughter of Tish A. Grace and James Favors. Davina thoroughly loved traveling, real estate, dining and the outdoors. Family and friends were Davina's passion and delight. She enjoyed hosting family and friends at home over meals and engaging conversations about everything. She loved life and people equally. Her favorite saying was, "make memories-live now in the moment." Davina graduated from Auburn High School, Green River college with an A.A. Business degree and Maryhurst University with a B.S. degree in Real Estate Studies. She earned her Real Estate license and ability to read, write and speak Spanish. In 1998, Davina married William Blake, Jr., the love of her life. Davina worked in the federal government for 16+ years at the Federal Aviation Administration and General Services Administration. In addition to raising their three children she also launched a non-profit organization to unite people and volunteered as Ombudsman for senior citizen Home advocating for quality of life. She genuinely loved people wholeheartedly without exception. Davina was the tithing member of Christian Faith Center, and a Co-Pastored Valiant Living Christian Center to include active community volunteering.

Davina is survived by her husband Bill, daughters Jazzimnn and Moriah, son Samual, son-in-law Byran, nieces, nephews; and a number of other relatives and close friends.

What a treasure Davina was to us! She began her FAA Government career with us in Logistics and graced us with her positive attitude and that bright smile from day one. She possessed determination and drive, always seeking to better herself. It was a joy to see her succeed, always giving the glory to God. Davina's kind nature, gentle spirit and contagious smile drew people to her. She looked for the good in life and in others. She loved her family and was a devoted friend. Davina "lived" her faith and as such was an inspiration to others. We will miss her, but our lives are better because we were blessed to have had her even if for a short time.
