Obituary

Deacon Frank Agosta, 75, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2013 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 25, 2013 from 5:00 - 7:00pm at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. A Rosary will follow at 7:00pm. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am Wednesday at St. Paul Catholic Church, Flowood with visitation one hour prior at the church. Deacon Frank Agosta, 75, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2013 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00am Wednesday at St. Paul Catholic Church, Flowood with visitation one hour prior at the church. Interment will be at Parkway Memorial Cemetery, Ridgeland.

He was born July 26, 1937 in Omaha, Nebraska to the late Charles Agosta, Sr. and Ella Agosta and proud of his Sicilian heritage. He was a graduate of the University of Nebraska at Omaha and served in the Army at Fort Riley Kansas. He and his family lived briefly in Burkburnett, TX prior to moving to Mississippi. A Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, he was ordained as a Deacon of the Catholic Church in July 1979, and served with St. Jude Catholic Church of Pearl until 1994, then St. Paul Catholic Church of Flowood until his passing. His life was dedicated to his family and his church.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and son, Anthony Frank Agosta.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Rowena Agosta; son, Timothy Agosta; daughter, Ann Agosta Divine (Wayne); brother, Charles Agosta, Jr. (Marlene); sister, Mary Brughman; grandchildren, Jake and Rachel Divine; brothers-in-law, Larry Rotherham (Florene); Dan Rotherham (Kathy), David Rotherham (Dannette); sisters-in-law, Ann Schneider, Lynne Barlow (Larry) and Beth Bourne (Jim); and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to the St. Paul Knights of Columbus Council No. 10216, 5971 Hwy 25, Flowood, Ms 39232, for any charitable causes they represent.
