Deborah K. Zyznieuski, 58, of Springfield, passed away on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at Sunset Rehabilitation and Health Care Facility in Canton, IL. She was born on April 2, 1954 in Quincy, IL, the daughter of the late Robert and Evelyn (Charle) Nixon. She married Walt Zyznieuski in Quincy, IL, in 1988 and he survives. Deb was a teacher in the Riverton, IL School District for 25 years. She was listed in Who's Who Among America's Teachers, was a St. Louis Cardinals and University of Illinois fan, loved traveling to Florida, movies, reading, and spending time with her family and friends. She loved life and was always willing to help...
Deborah K. Zyznieuski, 58, of Springfield, passed away on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at Sunset Rehabilitation and Health Care Facility in Canton, IL.

She was born on April 2, 1954 in Quincy, IL, the daughter of the late Robert and Evelyn (Charle) Nixon. She married Walt Zyznieuski in Quincy, IL, in 1988 and he survives.

Deb was a teacher in the Riverton, IL School District for 25 years. She was listed in Who's Who Among America's Teachers, was a St. Louis Cardinals and University of Illinois fan, loved traveling to Florida, movies, reading, and spending time with her family and friends. She loved life and was always willing to help anyone with any issues. She was also active at Trinity Lutheran Church in Springfield, including Ladies' Weekly Bible Study. She was a dedicated teacher, wife, and mother. Deb also volunteered as a Room Mother at Washington Park Pre-School, Lindsay Elementary School, and Grant Middle School.

Besides her husband Walt, Deb is survived by 2 sons, Nicholas Zyznieuski currently studying in Edwardsville, IL, and Douglas Zyznieuski of Springfield, a brother Greg (wife Marcheta) Nixon of Quincy, IL, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, neighbors and many close friends she made throughout her teaching career.

Services are under the direction of Bisch Funeral Home West, 2931 S. Koke Mill Rd., Springfield, where visitation will be held on Monday, July 2, 2012 from 4 to 7 pm. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at 10 am at the funeral home, with Rev. Aaron D. Schnelle officiating. Cremation rites will follow.

Memorials may be made to Deborah's family.
