Delores June Heath Timmons, 88, of Newburgh, passed away peacefully in her home on the morning of Saturday, November 26, 2016. She was born July 13, 1928.
Delores graduated from Millersburg High School. Delores's passion was the love and care she had for her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids, to whom she devoted her time-never missing a dance recital, sports event, play, musical, or Castle Band event. She always arrived in style showing off her flair for fashion. The homes she and Henry Gene made together displayed Delores's creative sense for decorating, and nobody could refuse her delicious cooking.
She was preceded in death by parents, Cecil and Esther Heath, and sister, Daisy Jean Bayer.
Delores is survived by her devoted husband, Henry Gene Timmons of Newburgh, with whom she celebrated sixty-nine years of marriage. Henry Gene lovingly and personally cared for Delores for many years. Together they raised four children, Steven (Stephanie) Timmons, Deborah Overton, Sheri (Thomas) Eberhard, and Brenda (Kevin) Vickrey, all of Newburgh; eight grandchildren, Sandy McAlpin, Anne Dimmett, Melanie Dicken, Allysyn Overton, Bryan and Courtney Eberhard, Ashley Beck, and Megan Vickrey; eleven great grandchildren, Macy and Dawson Dimmett, Mackenzie and Madison Dicken, Myla and Brock McAlpin, Isabella, Cooper, and Kipton Eberhard, and Braxton and Barron Beck.
Friends may visit Monday, November 28, 2016, from 3:00 to 8:00 PM at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, 5333 State Road 261, with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. Private services will be held Tuesday.
Her family wishes to acknowledge and thank her special caregivers, Sandy and Chelsea, for the exceptional care they provided.
