Delores Angela Behnfeldt, 80 of Napoleon Ohio passed away peacefully on April 19, 2014 at the Lutheran Home. She was born on June 24, 1933 to Albert and Martha (Kryling) Germann in Napoleon Ohio. She was united in marriage on April 13, 1952 to the late Norman Behnfeldt in Flatrock Twp. Delores is survived by her sons; Terry (Cathy) Behnfeldt of Malinta Ohio, Craig (Michele) Behnfeldt of Napoleon Ohio and Mark Behnfeldt of Fremont Ohio. Survived by grandchildren; Philip, Travis, Katy Jo, Kyle and Daniel and her great grandchildren Claire and Noah. Delores Angela Behnfeldt, 80 of Napoleon Ohio passed away peacefully on April 19, 2014 at the Lutheran Home. She was born on June 24, 1933 to Albert and Martha (Kryling) Germann in Napoleon Ohio. She was united in marriage on April 13, 1952 to the late Norman Behnfeldt in Flatrock Twp.
Delores is survived by her sons; Terry (Cathy) Behnfeldt of Malinta Ohio, Craig (Michele) Behnfeldt of Napoleon Ohio and Mark Behnfeldt of Fremont Ohio. Survived by grandchildren; Philip, Travis, Katy Jo, Kyle and Daniel and her great grandchildren Claire and Noah. Also survived by sister Darlene (George) Haase, brother Larry Germann , sister Linda (Ed) Fulde and sister in law Bev Germann.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Norman Behnfeldt, parents Albert and Martha Germann, sister Denelda Ehlers, brother Eldon Germann, sister in law Nancy Germann and brother in law Eldor (Dewey) Ehlers.
Delores enjoyed being around people. She was very active in the St. Paul Lutheran Church and sang in the choir. She was also a member of Stephen Ministry, Lutheran Laymen's League, and taught Sunday school . Delores was also a member of the Napoleon Fire Department Women's Auxiliary. Over the years Delores worked at Foster Canning, the Charles Co., Sterling's, and the Wash Bowl. She was a great cook and loved cooking and baking for her family. She is especially remembered by her grandchildren for her noodles and chocolate chip cookies. Delores always had a smile on her face.
A visitation for Delores will be held on Friday April 25, 2014 at Snyder-Wesche Funeral Home 830 N. Scott St. Napoleon, Ohio, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral Services for Delores will be on Saturday April 26, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church 1075 Glenwood Ave, Napoleon Ohio. Pastor Kramer and Pastor Marcis will officiate. Delores will be laid to rest at Forest Hill Cemetery. The family requests memorial contributions are made to The Lutheran Home, Napoleon; Alpine Village, Napoleon; St. Paul Lutheran School or a charity of the donor's choice.
