Deloris June (Main) Hafner

Born November 10, 1925, left our lives to pass into the next after a long and difficult illness on October 17, 2010. Deloris had retired from the State of Michigan and was a longtime resident of Mason, MI. She was a devout priesthood member of the Community of Christ Church, where she was a Church School Teacher, Girl Scout Leader and a Big Sisters member. Deloris was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Raymond A Hafner; parents, David Main and Esther Norris McFarland; sisters, Irene and Millie; brothers, Dale and Gordon; son-in-law, Scott Marble; and grandson, Justin Marble. Surviving are her daughters, Connie L. Saplys, Vicki S. Hafner-Marble and Sheryl R. Cepeda; grandsons, Neto, Justas, Matthew, Sean and Brian; brother, Dennis (Penny); and sister-in-law, Barbara. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 20, at noon at the Gorsline-Runciman Funeral Homes, 205 E. Washington St., DeWitt, with the Rev. Richard Hawks, of Community of Christ Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Fowler Cemetery, Aurelius Township, MI. The family will receive friends on Wednesday at the funeral home from 10:30 a.m. – noon. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer's Association, Michigan Great Lakes Chapter, 310 N. Main St., Suite 100, Chelsea, MI, 48118, or to the American Diabetes Association, P. O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA, 22312 are welcomed.
