Pat and family...I was so sorry to hear about Denis. He sure was a fighter if I ever knew one. I would swing by his office door just to say a quick "hello", and 30 minutes later, i'm still in his office listening to stories of family, friends,or what just happened 5 minutes ago! He certainly was a great man and will be missed by many. Rest in peace Denis, and God bless you all.

To Denny's family,
Jon and I were saddened to hear of Denny's passing. I was so blessed by Denny when he made the effort to come to my dad's (his childhood fuel man) visitation last year. He shared stories of Dad's stops at his house(always sports time) and emailed me (one of his classmate's) more memories later. I am so appreciative that he did that.
Praying that you are all surrounded by peace(knowing where he is) and wonderful memories.

I met Dennis many years ago when I went to work at ADS in Dayton. He was very accepting of me as a new comer in his office. I remember watching him come in some mornings already in a frazzle, preparing for sale day. I would peek around the corner and call him from my cell phone. "Denis, this is Penny, I am sick and won't be in today." He would politely say okay, get better, then hang up the phone and start scratching his head. I could see him trying to figure out how to get his job done when he had to do mine too! When he trotted into my office thinking he had to dispatch and saw me, it was hard to tell whether he wanted to kiss me for really being there or kick me out the door for messing with him! Denis was a great man and a great manager. Sorry to hear of the fight he has battled. My thoughts are with Pat and the rest of the family and friends as you go through the next part of this journey.
