Mrs. Bunnell & Catherine,
I am so sorry to hear about Dennie. You were all such an important part of my childhood. You all welcomed me into your home, and I truly felt like part of your family. I was just telling my children a few weeks ago about the time you took me to the beach with you. If you ask my children who my best childhood friend was, they'd say "Catherine." I think of you all often, and I will keep you all in my prayers.

Jean Daniel-Hurdle
Dear Jean, Alan, Nevin, Catherine and Tag,
Our hearts were broken by the news of Dennie's passing.
I had the most wonderful visit with him when I was home visiting my Mom in October.
We have a lifetime of memories of him and all of you, especially bowling and all the fun New Year's Eve parties playing cards with Gerry and Shorty.
My only comfort is knowing that my Dad was one of the first to shake his hand at the gates of heaven, and that some joke of his triggered Dennie's booming laugh and let everyone know that he had arrived.
I am sad that distance will keep me from seeing all of you and honoring his memory tomorrow night.
My heart will be with you. He was a great man, and we all loved him.
With love,
Jean Daniel Hurdle (for Jane Daniel, Chris Daniel Barden and Lee Daniel)

Jean and Catherine - not sure if you'll even remember me, but I used to live in Skipwith Farms (I was Amy Parsons then). I knew Catherine first as kids and then met up with Jean and Dennie again while bowling on leagues at Major League Lanes.
I will always remember Dennie's laugh and easy-going manner as well as his bowling advice (which really did improve my average!).
I know he will be missed in your lives - my sincere sympathies.
