Dennis was my tutor in Biochemistry, when I was a struggling first year medical student. I found him to be a soft-spoken, kind young man who had a remarkable ability to make difficult concepts clear. He could even make jokes about the subject, in his own low key, understated way. He will always be remembered with much gratitude, and he will be missed. My deepest sympathies and my prayers go out to his wife, Wendy, and to all his family.

Our deepest sympathies to Wendy and family. We knew Dennis as a lifelong friend from high school "debate team" days. Although we did not always keep in close contact, whenever we spoke or visited, we were reminded of his constant wonderful character traits--quiet confidence, respect for others, diligence, intelligence, and unique humor. We will miss Dennis.

Dear Dennis: Thank you for taking such good care of my sister Wendy and raising such illustrious children Ben and Rebecca. Your life has been classically inspirational, a quiet power which took care of other people before yourself. It was the little things you did, like sending my sons Napoleon Hill's book, Think and Grow Rich, and calling my wife Tracey for the latest recipe for tortellini. You showed me the secret of WHAT TO DO and HOW TO DO IT, but more importantly WE MAY HAVE WHATEVER YOU WANT IN LIFE. I wish you could have been with us longer. Lewis

Dear Dennis: thank you for doing such a wonderful job taking care of my sister Wendy and raising such illustrious children, Ben and Rebecca. Your professional and personal life has been classically inspirational to me and my three sons. My wife Tracey considered you the closest family member on my side of the tree. It was the little, often quiet power you possessed, like sending my family a copy of Napoleon Hill's book, Think and Grow Rich. or asking for the next recipe for tortellini. You taught me the secret of WHAT TO DO and HOW TO DO IT, but more importantly, YOU MAY HAVE WHATEVER YOU WANT IN LIFE. Dennis, I'll see you in the afterlife. Lewis

Dennis was a real pleasure to work with. He was not only very knowledgeable but was also very kind and thoughtful. He will be missed by all of us in radiology at WakeMed who knew and worked with him.

Dr. Ose definitely looked at the world through his very special rose colored lenses. I had the pleasure of working with him for quite a while and he taught me quite a few cytology tidbits that I still use. His quirky sense of humor always made me smile. I was saddened to hear of his passing...my deepest sympathy for your loss. He will be missed.

Dr. Ose was a good man. He thought of his staff as people and treated them with respect. When I worked every weekend, we looked forward to his "donut days." He and I also shared a love of photography. Well, he's got a fantastic view now.
Your family is in my family's thoughts and prayers.

God Bless you all.

My deepest sympathy for your loss. Dr. Ose's silly sense of humor made working with him lots of fun. He treated us with kindness and was a thoughtful and generous boss. We often talked about our love of the western United States, his hobby of bird watching and mine of hiking and wishing that we were somewhere in the mountains at that moment instead of in our pathology lab. May he rest in peace.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. Dr. Ose will always be in my memory as a boss with a love and dedication for his work and for a sense of humor. He was forever reminding me that "C" stands for "cat" (my love) and "B" is for "birds", (his love). Thanks, Dr. Ose. God Bless You.
