Obituary

Dennis Eugene Wright, 75, of Martinsburg, went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 24, 2014 in University Healthcare-Berkeley Medical Center. Born on August 27, 1938 in Martinsburg, he was the son of the late Frederick and Mary (White) Wright. He spent 15 years serving his country in the US Army. He was a member of the Moler Avenue Church of the Brethren, where he and his wife Wanda served as co-directors of the Brethren Angels Soup Kitchen. He was a member of the American Legion Post 14, VFW Post 896, and B.P.O.E Lodge #778, where he served as exalted ruler four times. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one...
Dennis Eugene Wright, 75, of Martinsburg, went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 24, 2014 in University Healthcare-Berkeley Medical Center.
Born on August 27, 1938 in Martinsburg, he was the son of the late Frederick and Mary (White) Wright.
He spent 15 years serving his country in the US Army. He was a member of the Moler Avenue Church of the Brethren, where he and his wife Wanda served as co-directors of the Brethren Angels Soup Kitchen.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 14, VFW Post 896, and B.P.O.E Lodge #778, where he served as exalted ruler four times.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Frederick F. "Joe" Wright; one sister, Maryann Barrett; and one great-grandson, Brantley Cyr.
He is survived by his loving wife Wanda (Concovia) Wright; beloved mother-in-law, Edith Concovia; two daughters, Karla Adams, and her husband Donny, of Linden, VA, and Denise Millholland of Winchester, VA; five grandchildren, Jillian Wright, and her husband Aaron Dawson, Brandon Millholland, Dustin Shanahan, Rachael Cyr, and her husband Robert, and Jessica Adams; and one great-grandchild, Jayden Cyr.
He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 1:00 PM at the Moler Avenue Church of the Brethren, 136 East Moler Ave., Martinsburg. Pastor Eddie Edmonds will officiate.
