Dionisio Rosales Macalintal or simply Fr Dennis to everyone was born on April 8,1939 in the southern Luzon province of Alitagtag, Batangas in the Philippines. He was ordained into the priesthood on April 14, 1963 at the age of 21. Fr Dennis was the youngest of six children of Mr. Alfredo and Mrs. Restituta Macalintal. He finished Philosophy and ranked magna cum laude in Theology at the University of Santo Tomas Central Seminary Ecclesiastical Faculties...

Rev Dionisio Rosales Macalintal
April 8, 1939 - Nov 21, 2014

Rev. Dionisio Rosales Macalintal or simply Fr Dennis to everyone was born on April 8,1939 in the southern Luzon province of Alitagtag, Batangas in the Philippines. He was ordained into the priesthood on April 14, 1963 at the age of 21.
Fr Dennis was the youngest of six children of Mr. Alfredo and Mrs. Restituta Macalintal.
He finished Philosophy and ranked magna cum laude in Theology at the University of Santo Tomas Central Seminary Ecclesiastical Faculties in Manila Philippines. Fr. Dennis also finished canonical studies at the Pontificio Collegio Filippino in Rome.

Prior to emigrating to the United States, Fr. Dennis' pastoral assignments in the archdiocese of Lipa, Batangas included, Parochial Vicar of San Sebastian and Sto. Tomas, Batangas; parish priest in the Our Lady of All Saints Parish Church in Balele, Batangas; and Immaculate Conception in Mataas Na Kahoy, Batangas.

Among Fr Dennis' pastoral and administrative assignments in the diocese of San Diego since his incardination in 1989 were: Most Precious Blood Church, St. Rita's Catholic Church, St. Michael Catholic Church in Paradise Hills and St Mary's Catholic Church, National City.

Fr. Dennis also served as the spiritual director of the San Diego Filipino Cursillo Movement from 1981-1990 and 2005-2014 prior to his retirement in the active parish ministry on June 30, 2014.
