Dolores "Dee" Gail Day of Smithville entered into eternal rest on Sunday, April 19th, 2015 after a brave battle with cancer.

Born April 9th, 1941 and raised in Austin, Texas as Dolores Gail Godwin, she was the fifth of six children for Florence and Oscar Godwin. She graduated Travis High School before marrying and moving to Baytown, Texas where she raised three sons while working in various secretarial jobs including Exxon Corporation. From 1983 to 1999 she primarily lived in South Miami Beach, Florida and worked at other secretarial jobs before returning to Texas and eventually settling in Smithville where she married her partner of twenty-eight years, Dennis Day in 2008.
