Dolores M. Baldwin passed away unexpectedly October 13, 2012 after a brief illness. She was born December 20, 1930 in New York City, the daughter of James J. and Elizabeth F. (Halloran) Welsh. She grew up in North Bellmore, New York.

She worked initially in Franklin Simon department store, Garden City, Long Island and later became a telephone operator for New York Telephone in New York City. Dolores also worked at Astrocom Electronics for 20 years as a quality control inspector until her retirement.

She married William F. Cook on September 24, 1950 and resided in East Meadow, Long Island until 1959. They then moved to upstate New York making their home at Goodyear Lake. She was married to William for thirty years until his death in 1980. She then met the second love of her life and soul mate, S. Lawrence Baldwin and was married February 20, 1982 for thirty years until his recent death.

Dolores had a beautiful voice and loved singing and dancing. She was involved in many musicals in young adulthood. In fact she met her first husband, Bill, while performing in a minstrel show together. Dolores was a very devoted grandmother, mother, and aunt. Her family was her world and her greatest joy was being with them. She enjoyed cooking and was known for her delicious recipes especially her baked beans and bread & butter pickles! In her retirement she and Larry belonged to an RV club and enjoyed traveling throughout the United States. They met many friends along their travels and established long lasting relationships extending their "family".

She belonged to the Goodyear Lake Association, Milford American Legion Auxiliary, Milford School PTO, and the Holiday Rambler RV Club.

She was predeceased by her parents, brother James J. Welsh Jr., sister Elizabeth F. Acker, and both of her husband's William Cook and S. Lawrence Baldwin.

She is survived by her children Dale Cook of Cortland, NY, Dennis (Lori) Cook of Yuma, AZ, Sue Steen of Mannsville, NY, Trudy (Bill) Claudy of Hartwick, NY, Sherry (Bob) Hall of Gilbertsville, NY, Kelly (Michael) Butler of Oneonta, NY, Carol (Randy) Neale of Masonville, NY, and Kathy (Bob ) Miller of Wellington, FL.
