In 1972, they moved to Cave Creek, AZ where she had lived for 41 years. Dolores was a devout Christian, published poet and writer of short stories. In her late 60's she became a reading granny for the elementary children at Black Mountain Elementary School. Also had lots of love for horses which she passed on to her children, grand children and great grandchildren. Her hobbies were collecting movies, memorabilia of John Wayne and crafting. She was in drama club in High School and acted in a variety of plays where she carried on that ambition in Cave Creek by performing in plays such as "The King and I".
She is survived by her brother Jack Barbaree, husband Richard Lunsford of 64 years, daughters Tina Ferguson and Kathy Lunsford, sons Russell and John Lunsford, 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 3 others on the way. She will truly be missed.
