Dominic F. Bonomonte, Sr, 60, of Danbury, formerly of Bronx and Brooklyn, NY, husband of Susan (Lang) Bonomonte, passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2012 at Danbury Hospital. Dominic was born on February 24, 1952 in Harlem, NY, son of Domenick and Rosalind (Parulo) Bonomonte.
A Veteran of the US Navy, Dominic worked as a Supervisor/Foreman for the NYC Dept. of Sanitation until retiring in 2007. He was very interested in his photography, baseball cards, music, cooking, family and his love of New York. In addition to his wife of 38 years, Susan, Dominic will be missed by his children Nicole and her husband RJ, Dominic Jr., Gina and Michael, his grandchildren Savannah, Kailee, Ava, Jayce and Brooklynn, as well as his sister Rita and her husband, Andy, and his brother Michael and his wife, Wendy. He was predeceased by his sister Dawn Marie.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Gregory the Great Church, Danbury on Saturday, May 5 at 10:30 am. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5pm to 8pm at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury.

Your husband and father, Dom, will be greatly missed and I offer you my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. Dom was a fun loving guy that made all our softball games special with his humor and kind heart. We all had many a laugh with him in Bethel Women's Softball and he will remain in my thoughts with a big smile.
