Don E. Zenisek was born on July 25, 1929 in Marinette, Wisconsin to the late Henry and Violet Zenisek. He passed away on June 16, 2014 in Howell, Michigan with his family by his side.

In October of 1948 Don joined the United States Air Force where he rose to the rank of Staff Sargent and worked as an aircraft mechanic. Following his discharge in August of 1952 Don began working at Krause Oldsmobile in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He later went on to work as a Technical writer for American Motors. While at American Motors he also worked in Salvage Operations, revolutionizing their recycling system. After leaving American Motors he stayed within the automotive industry and began working at the Chrysler Jeep Truck Engineering Department. In 1994 he retired from Jeep Truck in Highland Park, Michigan to spend more time with his family.

As his work illustrated Don had a love for cars and was mechanically inclined. He would work on cars at home and earned the nickname "Mr.Carburetor " from family and friends. In his retirement years Don enjoyed his time at home. He could often be found outside in the garden. Above all else he loved to spend time with his family, friends and helping when and where he could at St. Colette Parish.

Don was the loving husband for 62 years of the late Dottie, whom preceded him in death in June 2013. Cherished father of Danny (Suzanne), Tom, Jim (Denise), David (Carolyn) and Don (Lisa) and proud grandpa of Bill (Kendra), Jennifer, Andrew, Emily, Brandon, Olivia, Harrison, Dawson and Ava.

The Zenisek family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday June 19, 2014 from 4-8 pm with a Vigil Service, 7 pm, at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Rd. ( east of Newburgh and I-275) in Livonia. His life will be celebrated with a Funeral Mass on Friday June 20, 2014 at 10:30 am with in state 10 am at St. Colette Catholic Church, 17600 Newburgh Rd.(north of Six Mile Rd.) in Livonia.

Don will be laid to rest with Dottie at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
