Mr. Ayers was born on July 19, 1958 in Rome, GA, son of the late Ralph E and Constance Irwin Ayers. He was raised in Rome and was a charter member of The Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration. As a young adult he was employed at RCW and the Floyd Training Center. Donnie was a special needs adult, beloved by all. He enjoyed NASA, Wizard of OZ, The Three Stooges, emergency vehicles, baseballs and bats and had an extensive collection of shirts to support all of his teams and interests. He was an avid shopper and if the saying, "The one with the most toys wins!" Donnie hit the jackpot.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Ayers was preceded in death by two sisters, Susan E and Sarah "Sally" M Ayers and a brother in law, Jim Felkel. Survivors include sisters Brenda Otting , Rome and Mary Felkel, Elkton, FL.
