Donald G Paulson
February 23, 1948 - June 12, 2017
On May 30th Don fell backwards onto concrete causing severe brain trauma at Cannon Beach in Oregon. After excellent and tender care by the doctors and nurses at Emanuel Hospital Brain Trauma Center passed away.
Don was a lifelong resident of Portland, Oregon. He graduated from Grant High School in 1965. After attending Willamette University, and Oregon State University, Don graduated from Portland State University in 1970 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
At age 15, Don started working in the family business, Paulson's Floor Covering. For 50 cents an hour, Don began his career cleaning boilers and bathrooms, making deliveries, and sweeping the warehouse floors. His career there spanned 50 years.
Although we miss his loving care, sense of humor, laughter and spoiling, we know he is with the Lord Jesus Christ. His faith carried him throughout his entire life. He read the Bible every day.
Don is survived by his wife of 45 years Patricia Wood Paulson, Daughter Theresa Paulson Greer, husband Travis Greer of Seattle, Washington and grandchildren Daphne and Kingston, Son Dan Paulson and wife Chance of Portland, and grandchildren Evangeline and Elias, Siblings Beverly Smith (Scott), Larry, Ruth (Waite), Dick (Susan) and David (Angie).
Don is preceded in death by his parents Richard and Norma Paulson.
Services will be held Thursday, July 20, at 11:00 AM at Village Church, located at 330 SW Murray Blvd, Portland, OR 97005. Memorial contributions may be made to Samaritan Purse via www.samaritanpurse.org
