Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 12, 2016.

1978-2016

Donnie was born July 13, 1978 in Jamestown, North Dakota. He passed peacefully in his sleep with his beloved dog, Sofie by his side. Preceded in death by his father, Donald Schwind, Jamestown, ND; grandfathers, Melvin Schwind, Jamestown, ND, Duane Doyle, Little Canada, MN and David Doyle. Survived by his mother, Pamela Schwind, Montrose, MN; siblings, Melida Raasch (Ralphie, Serena), Cottage Grove, MN, Scott Schwind, Jamestown, ND; many loving aunts, uncles & cousins: John & Annie Doyle, Seattle, WA (Cassie, Rebecca, Kaitlin), Jeanne and Kent , Lawrence, MN, Rayanne Dahl (Alissa, Greg), Morgantown, WV, Genny Lynn & Alan Lindberg (Ashley, Sean), Jamestown, ND, Gail Doyle (Marissa, Sarah, Jayden), Cholkio, MN, Lisa Doyle, Fargo, ND, Ronald Schwind (Cheryl, Todd, Chad), Jamestown, ND, Karon & Tom Steckler (Carrie, Sheri, Kristi, Jodee), Jamestown, ND, Sylvia & Don Williams (Julie, Jarred, Jilanne), Jamestown, ND, Jeff & Michelle Schwind (Jeff Jr., Kaitlyn), Jamestown, ND, Renee Walch (Ryan, Ross), Jamestown, ND, and Matt Doyle, Fargo, ND. Donnie started his schooling in Jamestown, ND and completed it in Cottage Grove, MN. He was an avid Judge Judy watcher! He loved his Cat Bozo and his Dog Sofie. He loved all things Captain Jack (Sparrow), didn't matter if it was in movie form or liquid form. And ALL THINGS SUPERMAN!! He enjoyed watching his superhero movies, fishing, and bonfires with the family. Recently he found bird watching to be really relaxing. His beloved Atlanta Braves and Minnesota Vikings, he couldn't get enough of them! Donnie will always be remembered for his kind heart and sense of style. With all the things he went through, he was still a very happy man. He took things in stride when it came to his health. And the Schwind Laugh….He had it and used it daily to make people smile. Donnie was truly a MAN OF STEEL! He will always be our SUPERMAN!!! A gathering of family and friends will be Sunday October 16, 2016 from 11-2PM at Wulff Woodbury Funeral Home, 2195 Woodlane Dr., Woodbury, MN.

Donnie made all the friends I have and more in Newport and surrounding areas in less than ten years, I spent my whole life trying to make, he knew everyone. Some people have that special something about them to get along with almost anyone. He is my best friend and easily liked by many. He will always be missed. Love you brother!
