Donald "Skippy" J. Antwright, age 78, of Streetsboro, passed away peacefully, March 5, 2014. He was born August 2, 1935, in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of Fred and Ruth (Reimers) Antwright.
Mr. Antwright worked for many years at Trexler Rubber in Ravenna. He was a devoted family man who loved to laugh, spend time with his family and enjoyed playing the lottery. Donald was a caring neighbor and friend. He was generous with his time in helping and caring for others any way that he could.
Donald was a member of the St. Thomas Lutheran Church in Streetsboro. He was a proud veteran for the U.S. Navy Seabees. (Seabees Can Do!) He was a member of the Masonic Temple, a Boy Scout leader and a church youth advisor. He had many hobbies ranging from fisherman to inventor to boomerang enthusiast.
Survivors include his loving wife, Geraldine (Robejsek) of Streetsboro. Four children: Diane (Thomas) McLane of Chesapeake, Va., Doug (Janet) Antwright of Edmonton Alberta, Canada, Chris (Leigh) Antwright of Suffield Twp., and Julie Antwright of Virginia Beach, Va. He was a loving grandfather to nine grandchildren and two great grandsons. He is also survived by his sister: Lois McGrath of Lorain, Ohio. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held 10:00 am, Monday, March 10, 2014, at Evergreen Cemetery in Streetsboro, with Reverend Daniel Caruso officiating.
The family suggests memorial donations be made in his name to St. Thomas Lutheran Church, 9042 Ohio 43, Streetsboro, Ohio 44241.
Donald was a caring neighbor and friend. He was generous with his time in helping and caring for others.
