Bailey, Donald L. (age 92)
Was born on August 19, 1919 in Renton, WA and moved to California with his parents in 1925. He lived in various places in California, Settling finally in Sacramento, where he lived for 43 years, moving to Auburn, CA in 1986.
Don graduated from high school in Oakdale, CA in 1938 and attended business college for one year. He worked for Remington Rand, Inc. in Fresno, CA and then for Southern Pacific Railroad, and Sacramento County, retiring in 1980.
He was a long time member of the Church of the Nazarene, and served as District Treasurer for 32 years on the Sacramento District. His last church membership was at Spokane Valley Church of the Nazarene.
He married Erma Bruton in 1940 and they had three children, Robert, who died at birth, Ronald and Donna. Erma died in 1984 and he married Evelyn Luhrs and in 1986 moved to Auburn, CA and then to Spokane in 1996.
Survivors include his son Ronald (Connie) Bailey of Spokane; his daughter, Donna (Mike) Brown of Crass Valley, CA; four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home will be in charge of local services to be announced at a later date. Burial will be in Sacramento, CA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Spokane, P.O. Box 2215, Spokane, WA 99210.
