Ross/Sarah Stutts

My name is Ross Stutts. I'm sorry I cannot attend tomorrow's celebration of Donnie's life but have pneumonia and pretty much have to stay inside. Otherwise, I would certainly be there. I worked with Donnie on the County Police but after consolidation, like many of us, we lost contact. Donnie was a great man, as you know. He always loved to talk about the 4 or 5 softball teams he was playing on and his love for Corvettes. He had a contagious laugh that would make others laugh even if the what was said wasn't that funny. The world is left with a hole where Donnie was. He will be sorely missed and I regret he had to go so soon and young. You and your family have our deepest condolences.

They say "only the good die young". How true. Donnie and I went to Harding together and were neighbors on Whitehall Dr. in the late sixties. He stood out from the rest of us as an example of a real fair-and-square type guy. He was also a pretty good left-handed pitcher for Harding and I thought should have been considered for the majors. The guys I grew up with said he was always fair with them as a cop too. May God bless him and his family. Randy Martin. Indian trail

Donnie taught us alot in regarding how to live his life in the face of adversity, he never complained and always "bragged" on his family and how wonderful they were. We will miss you Donnie and we already do but the great comfort we have is that we know you are in heaven. Dotti and Rodney Wilson
