Donald Edward Bown,90, went home to be with our Lord Saturday, February 22.
He was the son of James and Sadie Bown and was born February 8, 1924 in Hamilton, Ohio.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Jimmy and Cliff, sisters Martha and Mary Lou, his wife of 11 years Fae (Tripp Avileo) and his wife of 33 years Ada (Gabbard). He leaves behind brother Harley, sister Lydie, Ada's sons Donald Ray (wife Deborah) of Middletown, Ohio, Edward Lee (Susan) of Oxford, Ohio, Johnny Allen of Oxford, stepson Steven Heckman, numerous nieces and nephews, granddaughters Jamie and Ashley, grandsons Aaron, Tanner, Cameron and Patton, step grandson Stevie, great grandsons Adrian and Gage and his close companion, Casey.
Don was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was awarded the Purple Heart. He was proud to be a cement mason in southwest Ohio and worked on many familiar landmarks. Don was a devout southern Baptist. A memorial service will be held at the Somerville, Ohio cemetery at a later date.

It seems like yesterday that we were talking and laughing together. It is hard to believe that it has been a year. He will forever be in our hearts. He is greatly missed by his family.

Dad's memorial service will be at 1 PM, Monday March 10, at the Somerville Cemetery. Dad had a great 90 years and was independent, happy and healthy until the end. He was hardworking and a good Christian and father who will be missed.

Charlie worked with Don for many years. We were good friends from way back in the '50's we went horseback riding went to horseshows and rodeo's. He was a great , true friend. Even when he moved to Florida , he kept in touch . He and Charlie were good friends. We love you , and we will see you again someday.

So sad to hear of this. Donny was a very loving uncle and I remember the times we children would go to his house in the summer and feed baby cows and shuck corn. He was a lot of fun and he will be missed. Steve, Donny, Eddie, and Johnny much love and prayers sent your way.
