Love ya Dad

I was so so saddened when I saw Chuck's picture in the paper. I recognized him from our days back when my ex-husband Chris was best friends with Chuck. This was 1968-1972, but my memories of our friend Chuck will be with me forever----parties at Ocean Shores and the hydro races---oh my, we were so young but so many treasured times, some so funny I will never forget. Thank you for those years of friendship, dearest Chuck!

To Vicky and Family,
From miles away, my heart and prayers are with you. The sun shines a little less brightly with the loss of such a dear man. Chuck was a rare, special force of humor, pathos and energy who brightened every room he entered, every life he touched. Thank you, Chuck, for being my friend.

Vicky, I was saddened to hear of Chuck's passing. I will always remember his "ribbing" at monthly volunteer meetings about how it was his turn for the "next one" and always with a great big smile :) You could not help but smile when Chuck smiled. And what a great example of volunteering for each of us to aspire to....I will try. He will be greatly missed.
You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I know it is hard right now, but knowing that you two were happy and loved one another with so many memories, will keep you strong. I may not have known Chuck very well, but I had heard so many stories through my dad. Thank you Chuck for letting me experience my first tail gaiting party at the Husky Stadium. I still talk about it from time to time. I am sending you a hug in heaven and sending your family a hug as well. Rest in peace.

I grew up with Chuck just a couple blocks away, and we spent lots of great times together, playing hard at McGilvra, hurrying home with Mr. P.I. from Meany, riding to Garfield HS together and as Huskies after... always the greatest guy, bringing lots of life to any party, with a heart of gold, always young, never old. Chuck was a friend, supportive banker and advisor, and always a willing co-conspirator in many a inane prank over the years. My thoughts are with Vicky and Chuck's family, Jim Lauinger

Having grown up with Chuck in Madison Park I have many fond memories, delivering papers, playing baseball and football. We reunited at a baseball field in Kirkland where our boys were playing baseball. It was like we never missed a beat, he was that charismatic guy that stood out in a crowd. My condolences to the Family, he will be missed.

I am unable to locate an address to send a card of condolence to the Brockway family, but I extend my sincere sympathy. I knew Chuck in the world of banking over time. I would be in attendance at the service, but I have a special family gathering to attend at that time. May you be surrounded by the love and comfort of family and friends.
